About This Course
Employees often see the warning signs of harassment and other behaviors in the workplace but do not feel confident enough to intervene or even report it. Through this course’s highly interactive scenarios, employees will practice identifying harmful behavior, overcoming concerns about getting involved, and effectively taking positive action to create an accountable, positive work environment. The course gives learners a toolkit of safe, effective, and role-appropriate tactics to use in everyday work situations.
Bystander Intervention in the Workplace teaches employees:
- Skills to build awareness of situations where intervention is appropriate.
- Confidence to take safe, appropriate action when they witness concerning behavior.
- How to use each type of action in “choose what happens next” video scenarios.
Preview of Types of Content
Skill-building scenario – These are realistic character-based scenarios with a description of the situation, usually 2-3 answer choices, and feedback for each answer choice. Learners generally must select the correct answer to proceed.
Motion Graphics – These visuals simplify complex information, capture learners’ attention, represent abstract or sensitive topics, support multicultural audiences, and promote retention.
