About This Course

ComplyEQ’s Export and Trade Compliance course provides employees with a clear, practical understanding of U.S. export and trade compliance requirements. The course explains what qualifies as an export, including physical items, actions, and interactions, who is covered under export laws, and how deemed exports work. Learners are introduced to the core concepts that shape export compliance, helping them recognize situations that may require additional scrutiny or approval before moving forward.

Through real‑world examples, the course also highlights common export red flags and third‑party risks that can expose organizations to compliance issues. Learners explore how to spot warning signs, avoid common traps, and follow proper planning and reporting procedures when export concerns arise. By reinforcing organizational policies and clear reporting obligations, the training supports consistent, informed decision‑making that helps reduce regulatory risk and protect the organization.

Skill-building scenario – These are realistic character-based scenarios with a description of the situation, usually 2-3 answer choices, and feedback for each answer choice. Learners generally must select the correct answer to proceed.

This page lets learners test their knowledge on how well they could spot red flags when handling item shipments and export licenses.

This page covers the four questions to ask when exporting items, with additional information available on separate pages.

Legal Compliance by State
