About This Course

ComplyEQ’s Preventing Workplace Violence course for employees focuses on awareness, prevention, and personal safety. Learners are introduced to the different forms workplace violence can take, common risk factors and warning signs, and why early reporting is critical. The course emphasizes prevention over reaction, helping employees understand how to deescalate tense situations, follow response plans, and take appropriate action if an incident occurs, including active shooter scenarios.

The Preventing Workplace Violence for Leaders course builds on this foundation with additional supervisor-specific content. Leaders learn how to identify behavioral, environmental, and situational warning signs, respond appropriately to concerns, and support employees as a form of prevention. The course also addresses leadership responsibilities related to reporting, documentation, and post-incident support, equipping managers with the skills and confidence to help prevent violence and foster a safer, more supportive workplace culture.

Skill-building scenario – These are realistic character-based scenarios with a description of the situation, usually 2-3 answer choices, and feedback for each answer choice. Learners generally must select the correct answer to proceed.

Accordion – Component used to chunk information under headers and allow learners to expand the content under each concept one at a time.

Carousel – Component that resembles a slide deck, where learners read the concepts on slide at a time

Flip Cards – Component that allows learners to read content on the front of a card, then flip to the back to read additional content
